Crystal Fortress Display/Carry Case
I ordered a single storage box from Crystal Fortress and I liked it enough that I ordered a whole set. They sell clear acrylic pieces that can be assembled into a display case for your minis, but they can also act as a transport. I took some pics when I built them that I'll share.
Here's everything I ordered. In the back you can see one of the boxes already built. They come in those black cardboard boxes on the left. The acrylic pieces in the center with all the holes are layout pieces for your miniatures. Their site has a bunch of different size combinations. The layouts are optional. They can be removed, but that requires partially disassembling the box they are in, which is not hard, but also not as easy as popping one thing out and another in. I also got magnets and pads for magnetizing troops, and a travel strap (all pictured).

Here are some shots of box contents, as well as the acrylic pieces laid out. The packing material and presentation are very high quality. That cardboard is the nicest I've seen. It has to be, as we'll see later.

You assemble the boxes yourself, first peeling off the protective plastic from the acrylic pieces.
They use small silicon beads to apply the pressure the keep the pieces together, as well as some silicon pads to keep them from moving when they are stacked. They send a sample metallic pad and magnet with each kit as well as a very small stone. I have no idea what the stone is for.
Here's a picture of placing the beads and pads. It was pretty easy, although I'll say that if you are assembling on a flat surface it's worth picking up the acrylic piece and pushing the beads all the way in. It makes assembly easier.
Assembly is easy. I put four boxes, one of them double-sized, together over about an hour, and I was doing it casually while chatting with my wife. They also stack really well. All-in-all they feel surprisingly sturdy once they're all together.
Here is the double-sized box. This one is sporting a layout for larger model sizes and is the 4" tall box. You can get these in 2" tall sizes, which is what the rest of my boxes are.
Here's everything stacked together. Pretty nice looking. Display cases are generally pretty expensive and are in no way customizable, or transportable, so I like this system. The black pieces are the box the largest piece came in. It has slots you can punch out to rap a strap through it and hold it all together. On the second level you can also see one of the optional metallic pads for magnetizing the models in place. Once I get all that done I'll post some follow-up picks.
