Building a Game Room Part 2

When we last left the new game room we'd cleared out the superfluous kitchen, but left damaged flooring and messed up wall paint. Those are bad things, but before we can address those there was one other issue, and that's the ceiling. This is what the ceiling looked like.

Ok, a bit roughshod, but the real issue was the lighting.

You can see from this angle, it's all fluorescent. A great, inexpensive lighting option that I absolutely hate. I'm pretty sure they actually have soul-sucking properties. So it was decided that the ceiling had to go, and a new one put in its place. Again with the big men with hammers!

Yep, those are some grade A quality ceiling guts! Pictured as well are the new recessed lighting that will provide more soul-pleasing illumination. Next comes the drywall, er, dry ceiling?

So there we have it. Paint will wait until the walls are done at the same time. Before that, however, will be flooring, which should be in soon!
